TurnKey Internet Expands Loyalty Reward Programs for Black Friday 2018   no comments

Posted at Nov 13, 2018 @ 9:00am Press Release

Black Friday Starts Early

LATHAM, NEW YORK (November 13, 2018) – Leading Data Center and Cloud Hosting Solutions provider TurnKey Internet, Inc. announced today the expansion of the company’s Refer-A-Friend Loyalty Reward program combined with the launch of their 2018 Black Friday Deals offering some of the best cloud servers, dedicated servers, and web hosting offers for 2018.

The expanded Refer-A-Friend program provides an incentive for our valued clients who already tell their friends and colleagues about the great service they receive every day with TurnKey Internet’s Cloud-Hosted services. An easy 1-click referral link is provided to clients that can be sent via email, social media, or placed on web sites, blogs or newsletters to automatically earn a $50 service credit. TurnKey Internet is expanding this Loyalty Reward program during the Black Friday season to $75 from the previous $50 – a 50% additional loyalty reward bonus during the 2018 holiday season. The company is launching this program at the start of the annual Holiday season to help increase the rewards for existing clients who participate.

TurnKey Internet is known for running its eagerly-awaited, industry-leading deals and specials, and this year is no different. TurnKey Internet is offering up to 95% off for life on nearly every product they offer – cloud servers, disaster recovery backup services, cloud storage, dedicated servers, virtual private servers, cPanel web hosting, Microsoft Windows web hosting, enterprise colocation services, SEO optimized web hosting, and much more. More information can be found at https://turnkeyinternet.net/holiday/ .

In a bold move in contrast to other companies that exclude or limit their best seasonal deals from existing clients – TurnKey is rewarding existing clients with an additional loyalty bonus.  The loyalty bonus is applied as a free month of service for every previous year of loyalty when purchasing additional services during this Holiday promotional period. This gives existing clients access to deals greater than 95% off when factoring in the free loyalty bonus months of service included.

“We love our loyal clients and realize our success comes from the trust our clients have placed in us over the years.  I am truly excited to expand our loyalty reward programs during our Holiday promotion.” Remarked Adam Wills, CEO of TurnKey Internet.  “While most companies offer only their best deals to new customers, we shake up that model and put the customer first.  TurnKey is focused on giving back to our clients – and in turn they are our best advocates telling friends and colleagues about their experience.”

TurnKey Internet, Inc receives SSAE 18 SOC 1 & SOC 2 Certification with HIPAA Compliant Mapping   no comments

Posted at Jul 17, 2018 @ 9:34am Press Release

TurnKey Internet

LATHAM, NEW YORK (July 17, 2018) – Leading Data Center and Cloud Hosting Solutions provider TurnKey Internet, Inc. announced today that their flagship Data Center in New York’s Tech Valley has received SSAE 18 SOC 1 & SOC 2 certification with HIPAA compliant mapping. After a thorough audit, TurnKey Internet was deemed compliant with the regulations required to attain certification. The examination was conducted by SOC audit specialists The Moore Group CPA, LLC.

SSAE 18, previously known as SSAE 16 or SAS 70, contains the rules for a CPA firm conducting an attestation of a service organization’s internal controls and issuing a System and Organization Controls’ (SOC) report. The SOC certification audit investigates several core areas: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. It verifies that TurnKey Internet’s Data Center is of the utmost security, integrity, and reliability. It confirms that TurnKey Internet has procedures and safety precautions of the highest certification standard in place to ensure the security of the facility and its clients’ data within.

In addition to the SSAE 18 SOC 1 & SOC 2 certifications, TurnKey also achieved HIPAA compliant mapping. This demonstrates TurnKey’s compliance with U.S. federal and state government HIPAA regulations, standards and frameworks, regarding the security and protection of electronic personal healthcare information.

“Attaining the SSAE 18 SOC 1 & SOC 2 certification with HIPAA compliant mapping was a significant goal and milestone for us,” remarked Adam Wills, President and CEO of TurnKey Internet. “We pride ourselves on our unparalleled reliability, security, quality of service, and—most importantly—customer satisfaction. This certification not only proves that we are excelling in those areas, but also assures our new and existing clients that they are receiving the best possible service and data protection available.”

Posted at Apr 17, 2018 @ 9:00am Press Release

TurnKey Internet Green Data Center

LATHAM, NEW YORK (April 17, 2018) – To celebrate Earth Day, leading Data Center and Cloud Hosting Solutions provider TurnKey Internet, Inc. announced today that it has been awarded and certified by the Green Business Bureau™ and Green America™ for its green initiatives and commitment to the environment. TurnKey Internet’s green data center utilizes state-of-the-art technology and 100% renewable energy to provide the greenest cloud-based IT services for clients all over the world. In anticipation of Earth Day, April 22nd, TurnKey Internet plans to amplify awareness for their low-energy, low-impact IT solutions.

TurnKey Internet will run an Earth Day promotion for the entirety of April to honor their commitment to the environment. Their New York data center offers revolutionary green IT solutions, such as employing low-voltage servers stored in ultra-efficient cold containment pods in each section of their data center. These pods deliver precision spot-cooling to temperature-regulated server racks, which use thirty-three percent less energy than traditional data centers.

TurnKey Internet runs their Energy Star certified facility with 100% renewable hydro and solar power. Their state-of the art data center is equipped with on-site, rooftop solar panels, and uses hydro-power from Niagara Falls to further supplement their renewable energy initiatives as beneficiaries of Gov. Cuomo’s “Recharge New York” power program. In 2013, The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation awarded TurnKey Internet the Environmental Excellence Award in recognition of their innovative data center design and outstanding commitment to environmental sustainability, social responsibility and economic viability.

“The future of both the Cloud Industry and the IT world in general revolve around energy—generating it from renewable resources and consuming it efficiently,” said Adam Wills, CEO of TurnKey Internet. He continued to say, “TurnKey’s green data center was built with sustainability in mind, and our commitment only evolves as the world-wide demand for energy consumption continues to multiply.”

While maintaining their high-level energy-efficient data center, TurnKey Internet looks forward to Earth Day to emphasize that all it takes to merge technology and the environment is a little bit of corporate responsibility.

TurnKey Internet, Inc. Receives Privacy Shield Certification   no comments

Posted at May 11, 2017 @ 12:50pm Press Release

TurnKey Internet

LATHAM, NEW YORK (May 11th, 2017) – Leading Datacenter and Cloud Hosting Solutions provider TurnKey Internet, Inc. has announced its Privacy Shield certification.

The EU-U.S. Privacy Shield framework and certification was designed by the U.S. Department of Commerce and the European Commission to provide companies on both sides of the Atlantic with a mechanism to comply with data protection requirements when transferring personal data from the European Union to the United States in support of transatlantic commerce.

“Our Privacy Shield certification reflects our fundamental commitment to protecting our customers and their data,” said Adam Wills, CEO of TurnKey Internet, Inc. He continued, “At TurnKey Internet, we strive to meet the highest levels of data privacy protection. We believe it is critical that we do everything we can to build trust and ensure privacy compliance for all of our global clients.”

The EU-U.S. Privacy Shield replaces the Safe Harbour Agreement after the European Court of Justice declared that it did not meet Europe’s data protection standards. This new framework protects the fundamental rights of anyone in the EU whose personal data is transferred to the United States as well as bringing legal clarity for businesses relying on transatlantic data transfers.

“Our clients from over 150 countries entrust us to securely receive and host their personal data,” says Wills. “This certification highlights our vision of providing the most secure and reliable Cloud Hosting solutions available today.”

TurnKey Internet reaches zero carbon footprint and 100% renewable power resources   no comments

img-hydro2-bigRemember when I told you that April is Earth Month at TurnKey Internet? Well, I’m back with some very exciting Earth Month news. Two different pieces of Earth Month news, actually–both green; both awesome.

First of all, we are now part of NYS Gov. Cuomo’s ReCharge New York program. Do you know what this means? DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS?! This means that TurnKey Internet is now powered by 100% renewable resources! Being awarded this system means a lot to us, and it should mean a lot to you too, because being nice to the Earth should mean a lot to everybody. This hydroelectric power system draws energy directly from Niagara Falls, and extends the portion of our power that we were already drawing from renewable sources to a full 100%.

We were selected for the ReCharge New York installation in recognition of the jobs we are creating in New York State as TurnKey Internet expands. Here’s a fun fact: We have more than doubled our staff in the past two years. Isn’t that crazy? Crazy in the best way possible, of course.

Do you know what else this ReCharge New York system means for us? I told you there were two pieces of Earth Month news, didn’t I? Get ready, I saved the best for last… If you haven’t yet heard, or are impartial to reading titles and/or press releases, our Latham, NY data center now has a zero carbon footprint! This accomplishment is all but unheard of in our industry, so we’re more than a little proud and excited. We feel, and hope you agree, that this accomplishment really sets us apart from the other guys.

If you’re interested in a little more light reading, you can find the press release in our Company News section.

Pssst… Between you and me, we are  running an OUTRAGEOUS sale right now. If you’re interested–and I would recommend being interested–jump on Live Sales Chat. Our Sales Department will tell you what’s up. *cough–HUGE DISCOUNT–cough* …excuse me.

Attention Resellers: Marketing Your Web Hosting Business   no comments

Posted at Aug 10, 2010 @ 9:00am TurnKey Marketing,Web hosting

Reselling web hosting is a potentially lucrative business with many advantages. Well, most importantly, you don’t have to worry about hardware. Partnering with a reputable web hosting business that owns their own datacenter (i.e. TurnKey Internet) will allow you to provide reliable services to your clients while you receive stellar support and 100% uptime. But providing the server space is only one small part of a successful reseller business. You have to market your business too, and that’s no small task. As a very wise CEO once told me, “Products don’t make a business. Sales and marketing make a business.” So how do you effectively market your reseller business without spending all your capital on advertising? Good question, self! Allow me to elucidate…

Press Releases

Press releases are a powerful tool for marketing your company. While press releases work best for real newsworthy items, even routine product announcements and promotions can benefit from a formal press release distributed through the right channels. The best part is that press releases don’t have to cost you anything more than the time it takes to write them.

  • Advantages

Bloggers, journalists and online news outlets are always on the lookout for new content. Getting your press release listed is great for exposure, and it builds your website’s backlinks, which is great for SEO. If your release contains newsworthy information that extends beyond the web hosting arena, you could get picked up by print publications. This is an excellent way to build your company’s credibility and to reach an audience that may not be keeping tabs on industry-only news.

  • Distribution

There are several traditional (and free) methods for distributing press releases, and a few more creative non-traditional ones. First, submit your release to all of the online news outlets you can find. This can be time consuming, as many of them require you to register before you can submit news, but the effort is worthwhile. It may be onerous the first time around, but if you save your registration information, subsequent releases will be easier and faster. Second, notify your clients of your releases via your email newsletter. If you don’t have a newsletter yet, you should get on that, and fast, because they are invaluable marketing tools (more on this below). Third, submit your release to all of your local newspapers and radio stations. It might sound old school, but getting listed in print or mentioned on the radio will be a real feather in your company’s cap.

  • Keywords

Load your press release with SEO-friendly keywords and phrases. The more specific your keywords and phrases are, the better, for example: there are millions of companies using the keywords “web hosting” but not nearly as many using the keywords “New York web hosting professionals.” If you target your demographic with your keywords, you’ll maximize traffic from that demographic. And try to remember the rule: one to two keywords per 100 words.

  • Paid Releases

There are several companies that offer to distribute your press releases for a fee. Typically, the fee is $50-$250 and includes submission to all the major search engines and news outlets online. We have found paid releases to be beneficial for truly newsworthy releases, especially those that involve a new product or service that we know people will be excited about. The bottom line here is sales. If we have a release we think will bring in sales, we’re willing to spend some money to make sure our customers see it.

Blogs

What I’m doing here… right now… and here… is writing a company blog. This blog increases traffic to TurnKey Internet because it is regularly updated, searchable, indexed content that keeps us at the top of search results. The more I talk about TurnKey Internet’s top-notch web hosting products and services, the more easily we will be found by customers searching for top-notch web hosting products and services. It’s simple. It works. Try it!

Specials

Specials, sales and coupons attract attention. Everyone wants a deal. Everyone wants to pay less for something that used to cost more. You can advertise your specials via all the social networks (in which you should already have an account for your company). You can also include specials and promotions on your blog, with keyword-filled content that highlights the amazing features included in your special. If your special is really…well… special, you can write up a press release.

Email Newsletters

You have undoubtedly heard about the marketing power of email newsletters. If you haven’t started one yet, check out TurnKeyNewsletter.com, our one-stop email newsletter shop. Newsletters are ideal tools for sending out company updates, promotions, specials, etc. They are also critical tools for building customer trust and loyalty. An active company that has a lot going on is a successful company—at least in the eyes of your customers. Finding the right email newsletter software can be a real challenge. Many of the better known products out there have major bugs that will hurt your company’s image (the opposite of what you’re going for, obviously). That is why we have just released our very own, superior, incredible, action-packed email newsletter software. Check it out here: http://turnkeynewsletter.com. Also, stay tuned for a whole entire blog post dedicated to this new must-have marketing tool.

Bye Bye Dot Com   no comments

Posted at Mar 19, 2010 @ 5:14pm News

Recently the company Canon announced that it will be buying its own top-level domain, which means its web pages will end with .canon.  If Canon can successful buy it, the .canon top-level domain (TLD) will open as soon as late 2011.  With this TLD, Internet users will be able to navigate to “http://canon” to reach its website and Canon employees could create e-mail addresses like “Abbey@canon.”  Recently, in a press release, the company has said, “Canon hopes to globally integrate open communication policies that are intuitive and easier to remember compared with existing domain names such as ‘canon.com.’

The Internet Corporation of Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has loosened restrictions this year, making it possible to create new TLDs.  The rules regarding TLD ownership will not be finalized until the middle of 2011.  Currently, ICANN has the TLD application fee set at $185,000.  However, fees can increase if there are disputes and multiple organizations apply for the same name.  In these cases, the name would go to the highest bidder.

Rob Beckstrom, the CEO of ICANN, has stated, “One of the least innovative spaces in the Internet is the global top-level domains.  It’s an anomaly.  When the Internet opens up, then there is innovation.”  The new CEO plans to make the approval process for new domains quicker.  Along with Canon, Beckstrom predicts that one hundred of the most popular websites would eventually apply for their own TLD.  In addition to these TLDs, Beckstrom plans on reinstating the approval of the “.XXX” domain for pornographic websites.  He is also proposing that cities receive their own TLD and other languages get their own domains in their own language using language-specific characters.  He believes it will preserve local cultures and promote global interconnection.

Many people are criticizing Beckstrom that his new plans for the Internet are inspired by greedy motives.  Opponents claim that with all these new domain name possibilities, ICANN will make even more money from domain registration fees, and in turn, Beckstrom will be a richer man.  Beckstrom reinforces this is not the case and stands behind his statement that “adding more TLDS will add innovation.”
